Penderecki music in summer music festivals
Professor Krzysztof Penderecki will be the special guest at summer music festivals in Kuhmo (Finland) and Parnu (Estonia), appearing respectively on 21st and 23rd June. Both concerts will feature music by Maestro Pendereckiego.
The programme of the chamber music concert in Kuhmo includes the Sextet for clarinet, French horn, string trio and piano performed by international soloists, and the String quartet No. 2 performed by the Enescu Quartet.

European Union grants PLN 50 M for Krzysztof Penderecki’s European Music Centre
Krzysztof Penderecki’s European Music Centre in Lusławice is to receive a grant of PLN 50 million from European Social Fund (ESF). On Tuesday, 1st June, the Director of the Centre Adrianna Poniecka-Piekutowska and Piotr Żuchowski from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage signed in Warsaw the agreement to co-finance the construction of the Centre’s seat. The investment, whose total value amounts to PLN 65 million, is conducted as part of the “Infrastructure and Environment” Operational Programme.
