Songs of Transitoriness in Gdańsk
Krzysztof Penderecki’s Symphony No. 8 Songs of Transitoriness will resound again in Poland. This time, we will hear the work during the Chopin Year in Baltic Philharmonic Hall, at 7 pm on 28th February. The programme of the concert includes also Sławomir Zamuszko’s 89 Degrees North, and – quite naturally – Fryderyk Chopin’s Piano concerto in E minor, Op. 11. The number of artists includes Agnieszka Rehlis represented by Ludwig van Beethoven Association.

Penderecki. Bunt i wyzwolenie
The second volume of Professor Mieczysław Tomaszewski’s book on Krzysztof Penderecki has just been published under the title Penderecki. Bunt i wyzwolenie (literally: Penderecki. Rebellion and liberation.).
In autumn 2008, the PWM Edition (Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne) published the first volume of the spacious monographic work on Krzysztof Penderecki entitled Rozpętanie żywiołów (literally: Unleashing the elements). The presentation of the 2nd volume of the work, entitled Odzyskiwanie raju (literally: Regaining the paradise) was held at PWM Salon on 4th February 2010.
