Krzysztof Penderecki on Kaddish
On 30th August the Łódź local supplement of Gazeta Wyborcza national quality daily published an interview with Krzysztof Penderecki, devoted to the premiere of his work entitled Kaddish – to all Łódź Abrameks Who Desired to Live. To Poles who saved Jews written especially to the order of city authorities. The world premiere of the work took place on 29th August as a part of commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of Liquidation of the Łódź (Litzmannstadt) Ghetto.

Honorary doctorate of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre
Krzysztof Penderecki will be awarded honorary doctorate in the Estonia Concert Hall during the Jubilee of 90 years of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre on 27th September this year. The Council of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre made the decision to bestow this honorary title on the composer in recognition of his exceptional contribution to musical culture.
The Estonian title is the 26th doctorate awarded to Krzysztof Penderecki.
