International Rostropovich Cello Competition
Professor Krzysztof Penderecki will hold the post of the President of the Jury of the 9th Rostropovich International Cello Competition beginning in Paris on 27th October, and continuing to 8th November. The gala concert and awards ceremony will be held at the Salle Pleyel at 4 pm on 8th November.
Mstislav Rostropovich was a close friend of the Penderecki family, and Maestro Penderecki himself dedicated his works – Per Slava for cello and soil (1985/86) i Largo (2003) for cello and orchestra – to the violinist of world renown.

Music Forum in Hradec Kralove
On 3rd November, Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki will conduct the Hradec Kralove Philharmonic Orchestra and Prague Philharmonic Choir in a concert of the 5th Jubilee Music Forum Hradec Kralove Festival. The programme of the concert includes Krzysztof Penderecki’s Symphonies No. 5 and No. 8. The Music Forum in Hradec Kralove is organised by the Czech Radio to present the best achievements of contemporary music.
