Nuovi Eventi Musicali
On 27 November, Krzysztof Penderecki will receive the Nuovi Eventi Musicali award in Florence. Several years ago, one of the recipients of this distinction was Maestro Mstislav Rostropovich.

Maestro’s birthday – inauguration of the Year of Krzysztof Penderecki
The Maestro’s jubilee year will be inaugurated on 23 November at the University Auditorium in Poznań with a concert by the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki.
The concert will feature a premiere of the composer’s latest work – Double Concerto for Violin, Viola and Orchestra, which will be performed by excellent young instrumentalists: Fumiaki Miura (violin) and Julian Rachlin (viola). The Double Concerto was commissioned for the 200th anniversary of the Musikverein in Vienna, where the world premiere was held on 22 October 2012. The concert is dedicated to Julian Rachlin.
