Penderecki nominated for Grammy
A CD with Krzysztof Penderecki’s compositions interpreted by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra has been nominated for the prestigious Grammy Award. The album “Penderecki: Fonogrammi; Horn Concerto; Partita; The Awakening of Jacob; Anaklasis; De Natura Sonoris", recorded by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra under Antoni Wit was nominated in the Best Classical Compendium category. The CD brings together six works that present different aspects of Krzysztof Penderecki’s works – from landscape “Horn Concerto”, to orchestral “Partita" and neo-Romantic “The Awakening of Jacob", to compositionally complex “Anaklasis" and jazzy “De Natura Sonoris".

Award for Krzysztof Penderecki
On Monday in Florence, composer Krzysztof Penderecki received a prestigious award from the Italian Nuovi Eventi Musicali (NEM) association. The composer’s two-day visit to Florence and a concert in this city was considered a great event.
The presentation ceremony was held at the Hall of Good Humour (Sala del Buonumore) of the former Benedictine Convent, known as The Coenaculum of St Apollonia.
