The Devils of Loudun premiere
“The warm applause given by the Copenhagen audience to Krzysztof Penderecki, when he appeared on the stage of the royal opera, was well deserved, because music was the central focus of the stage production prepared by British director Keith Warner (who staged Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro” over two years ago in Warsaw) and Slovak stage designer with a Polish soul, Boris Kudlička. With great sensitivity and respect for detail and plans, it was led by British conductor Lionel Friend,” writes Tomasz Cyz in his review of Krzysztof Penderecki’s “The Devils of Loudun”, directed by Keith Warner.
