Paths Through The Labyrinth

“Paths Through The Labyrinth: The Composer Krzysztof Penderecki”, a documentary directed by Anna Schmidt was nominated for the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik (German Record Critics' Award) and invited to take part in the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam, which will be held in November 2014.
A Polish-German co-production from 2013, the film was produced on the occasion of Krzysztof Penderecki’s 80th anniversary. The director accompanied the composer for a year, interviewing many of his friends and collaborators. This resulted in a fascinating documentary, which also contains many little-known archival materials.
“I am very proud that my film has received this nomination,” said the director, who also thanked everyone who have contributed to it.
