European Center for Music awarded again
The European Krzysztof Penderecki Center for Music has received the Stanisław Witkiewicz Prize for the best new public utility building in Małopolska. The Małopolska Garden of Arts has also been awarded.
The Stanisław Witkiewicz Prize is awarded to the best architectural buildings constructed over the last two years in the Małopolskie Voivodeship. It is awarded to buildings which, “by making references to existing architecture and landscape, create harmonious public spaces and can be a source of inspiration for buildings being built around them and for spatial development ". The prize is conferred in three categories: public utility architecture, housing architecture, and religious architecture.
The European Krzysztof Penderecki Center for Music in Lusławice has operated since the beginning of 2013. The building was designed by DDJM architects from Kraków as a top quality, multifunctional music facility, offering opportunities for versatile improvement in the field of music, organization of concerts and small ballet productions.
