MocArty RMF Classic Awards – nomination for Krzysztof Penderecki

Krzysztof Penderecki was nominated by Radio RMF Classic listeners for the MocArty RMF Classic 2012 Award in the Man of the Year 2012 category.
Penderecki was appreciated “For his constant readiness for experimentation in music and for the “Penderecki/Greenwood” project (Nonesuch, 2012), as well as for consistence and persistence, which enabled him to complete the construction of the European Music Centre in Lusławice. A 20th- and 21st-century classic who doesn’t stand on the pedestal!”
In the same category, the listeners also nominated Jerzy Stuhr, Agnieszka Morawińska, Wojciech Kilar and Michał Urbaniak.

The voting ends on 5 February 2013. The MocArty statuette awarding gala will take place on 25 February at 7:30 pm at the Concept 13/VitkAc Restaurant, ul. Bracka 9 in Warsaw.
The MocArty poll is organized by Radio RMF Classic for the third time. This year, it coincides with the radio station’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
