Krzysztof Penderecki in the Honorary Committee of the Year of Witold Lutosławski

Krzysztof Penderecki has been invited by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Mr Bogdan Zdrojewski, to join the Honorary Committee of the Year of Witold Lutosławski. The concert inaugurating the celebrations will be held at the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall on 25 January, the composer’s 100th birthday. Over a hundred music events in Poland and abroad will take place as part of the Lutosławski Year. The concerts of his music will be performed by Krystian Zimerman, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Johannes Moser, among others.
“The programme of the Lutosławski Year celebrations is interesting, but above all complete,” stressed the Minister of Culture Bogdan Zdrojewski, adding that the composer’s works will be promoted in Poland and abroad as part of festivals, concerts, CDs, monographs, and educational workshops.
