Krzysztof Penderecki at the Malko Competition in Copenhagen

On 11 May at the Malko Conducting Competition in Copenhagen, the audience heard Krzysztof Penderecki’s new piece, “De natura sonoris no. 3”, which was commissioned by the Competition. The work was performed during the fourth round, for which 6 contestants have qualified.

Regrettably, Krzysztof Penderecki was unable to attend the evening concert but took part in rehearsals with young conductors, who conducted his new piece.

On Thursday in the foyer of the Danish Radio Concert Hall, the Maestro had a meeting with the audience and told about the origin of his new piece.
