Penderecki in Moscow

On 26 February at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, two outstanding conductors: Vladimir Fedoseyev and Krzysztof Penderecki will conduct the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio. Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor “From the New World” will be conducted by Maestro Penderecki, and the works by Krzysztof Penderecki – the Concerto Grosso for 3 cellos and Chaconne from the Polish Requiem – will be conducted by Maestro Fedoseev. The Concerto Grosso will be performed by Russian soloists Petr Kondrashin, Natalia Raspopova and Denis Kalinsky.
Maestro Penderecki is a frequent guest in Moscow and the audience is very fond of him. Maestro Penderecki’s recent visits include his participation in the jury of the International Tchaikovsky Competition, performances with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra at the Kremlin Palace and with Sinfonia Varsovia at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory (June 2011), and the concert at the Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory with Sinfonietta Cracovia (October 2011).
