Krzysztof Penderecki at the ABAM Annual Conference

Krzysztof Penderecki’s chamber music concert will take place on 23 September at the Florianka Hall in Kraków as part of the ABAM Annual Conference, organized by the Academy of Music in Kraków. The programme includes the composer’s works: the Viola Concerto, the Serenade for String Orchestra, and the Sextet for Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano, French horn and Clarinet.
The ABAM International Chamber Orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki. Grigori Zhislin will be the soloist in the Cello Concerto. The Sextet will be performed by Stefan Hempel (Rostock, Germany) – violin, Katarzyna Budnik-Gałązka (Warsaw, Poland) – viola, Zdzisław Łapiński (Kraków, Poland) – cello, Ilan Schul (Jerusalem, Israel) – clarinet, Egidijus Stanelis (Vilnius, Lithuania) – French horn, and Janis Maleckis (Riga, Latvia) – piano.
